Bed and Breakfast in Canet d'Aude

The village

Canet is in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in the Aude. It is very close to Canal du Midi and the village of Ventenac, about 13 kilometers away from the town of Narbonne and 6 kilometers from Lézignan-Corbières. It’s a picturesque little village, well served. There is a little supermarket, a baker, a bar and a pizzeria. Canet has its own ‘cave coopérative’ where you can buy wine produced from the vines around the village. This year their Chardonnay won a gold medal.

The house It was built c1840 and is a ‘Maison de Maitre’. The house has been maintained with a majority of its original features, old cement tiled floors, marble fireplaces and moulded ceilings. We are renovating the house in keeping with its original period as much as possible and have so far only created a new kitchen through to the barn as the original kitchen ‘below stairs’ is fine but not convenient for everyday living!
The rooms At the moment we only have the one room (Cote' jardin). IT's very spacious (40 M2) with it's own en suite shower and toilet, own kitchen and courtyard. It's like a self contained flat
